Objectives

  • This course aims to provide you with an understanding of development-related issues in the WTO, with special emphasis on the DDA as well as a greater appreciation of the linkage between trade and development.   
  • In addition, the activity will focus on providing you with a greater understanding of the various tools for trade-related capacity building. 
  • Finally the training aims at illustrating how your country can draw maximum benefit from membership of the WTO for your development processes.

  • How the WTO negotiations might better reflect the development needs of its developing Members – African interests as a region and key areas of importance to African countries in current negotiations –
